Cultural and educative programs for preschool children, primary and secondary school pupils and their teachers.

During artistic workshops children create small individual mosaics and big collective mosaics and they play educative games. We cooperate with museums, galleries, libraries, botanical gardens and universities on cultural and educative programs.

LOUKAMOSAIC IN TROJA 2011

Special offer of participation on artistic workshops for children from nursery, primary and secondary schools and their teachers in Troja Castle in Prague.

When: April - November 2011

Length of artistic workshop for 20-30 children is 120 minutes.

The price of ticket for 1 person is 199 CZK. (10 CZK from each one is donated to one of charity organizations we co-operate with)

Principal of the project Loukamosaic:

1) CREATION OF COLLECTIVE PIECE OF ART
Loukamosaic is willful creation of many formers. Mosaic artists have their mosaics placed on Loukamosaic website and on exhibitions.
 
2) VARIABILITY AND INDIVIDUALITY
By making individual flower mosaics and collective team compositions, it is pointed to the importance of individuality and diversity.
 
3) BIODIVERSITY
Importance of saving different species of flowers is proved by diversity of individual mosaics and different inspirations of creators.
 
4) COURAGE TO BE DIFFERENT
Activities during workshops show the importance of individual differences in creativity and opinions.
 
5) METHOD AND INTENTION OF REALIZATION
Loukamosaic is shaped by individual creations of mosaics by buying 'Loukamosaic Set' and during artistic workshops in cooperation with museums, galleries, botanical gardens and schools. Creators of Loukamosaic are individual adult creators of mosaic, teams of adults, families with children, kindergartens, primary and elementary school children, children from children’s homes and visually disabled people.

a) Educative: inspiration of senses
- smell of flowers
- sounds of meadow
- tactual games with mosaic pieces including Braille writing for visually disabled people
- games connected with comparison of vegetation décor and meanings of individual species of flowers
- etc.
 
Technical preparation of local flora and vegetation décor is realized in conjunction with botanical, ethnographic and historical experts.
 
b) Environmental: supporting programs with themes of: 
- endangered and endemic species
- story of landscape
- flower décor and symbolic meaning of flowers
- healing energy of flowers
- flower inspiration for architecture
- etc.
 
c) Charity:
'Help is not a virtue, it is an artery of being.'
 
Workshops for children from children’s houses and for visually disabled are free of charge. Flowers from meadows heal, Loukamosaic helps. 10 CZK from each sold 'Loukamosaic Set' goes to one of the charity organizations we co-operate with.
 
7) PRESENTATION OF REALIZATION PLACE
Individual mosaics and bigger collective team mosaics are part of  a unique art creation and are continuously exposed. In context of realization and cooperation with realized workshops, the aim is to create web presentation of places: local flora, architecture and décor inspired by flowers and interests of nature. It is also presentation of our partnership institutions: museums, galleries, botanical gardens and schools which prepare locally oriented conceptions for Loukamosaic.
